History of the Medallic Art Company

Pratt’s model was for a medallion to commemorate the 1907 centennial of poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow's birth.

Pratt signed both sides of the medal along with the 1907 date. This establishing a year for the first medallion produced by what would soon become Medallic Art Company.

The Deitsch brothers were encouraged by the success of the Longfellow Centennial medal, and they encouraged Henri to get more work for the idle pantograph.
